How Do You Get To Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains?

Cades Cove is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The Cove has beautiful scenery, active wildlife, an 11 mile bike and motor trail and homesteads from the past you can visit.  The directions to Cades Cove depends on where you are staying of course.  If you are in Wears Valley staying at Summit Cabin Rentals or one of the other great rental homes in the valley it is easy to find. Allow us to give basic directions from stoplight #3 in Pigeon Forge, TN. We hope you enjoy your day excursion to Cades Cove!

From stoplight #3 in Pigeon Forge turn on to Wears Valley Road. Wears Valley Road will take you from Pigeon Forge to Townsend Tennessee traveling through Wears Valley on Hwy. 321 South. When you arrive in Townsend, Tennessee (about 30 minutes from stoplight #3) turn left on to Lamar Alexander Parkway. Drive several miles, passing the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Museum on the right to where you see the Townsend Wye on the left and signage directing you to Cades Cove on the right. Turn right and follow the signs in to one of the most beautiful places in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
