Just 20 minutes driving distance from Wears Valley are enough attractions and fun things to see and do that you’d be able to fill up a weekend schedule almost immediately. Wears Valley itself has a number of attractions itself, but as the main point of our community is to be a quieter, less developed portion of the Smokies to relax in while the main action goes on around us. Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Townsend are all where you want to look for the kinds of attractions that brought you to the Smokies and we’ll help get you started with our listings below.

Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster
Come Ride the Hill and Feel the Thrill! The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is the LONGEST downhill ride in the United States, with over 1 mile of track! Goats on the Roof of the Smoky Mountains
It’s the goat-feeding-est, goat-coaster-est, gem-mining-est, fudge-eating-est, ice-cream-licking-est, cool-gift-shopping-est attraction in Pigeon Forge! We’re located right on Wears Valley Road, and we’re impossible to miss. After all, we’re the only Smoky Mountains attraction with live goats roaming around on the rooftop. So stop in, get a can of goat chow and hop on our special “goat-cycle,” which lets you transport your can of goat feed up to the roof. And then get your cameras ready to click away as our hungry rooftop residents chow down on their favorite snack.

Wears Valley Zipline Adventures
Come zip through the air as you enjoy the spectacular view of the Tennessee mountains. Four lines with 3000 feet of airtime. Walk across the 75 foot swinging rope bridge. Cades Cove Cellars
Cades Cove Cellars has many different things to offer those who come to visit the winery. Free tastings of the wines are offered everyday and there is no need to make a reservation. There is a viewing area for visitors to observe the laboratory and tank room as well as see the bottling line in operation. The gift shop has a wide selection of wine accessories, gifts, and crafts made by local artisans. Exciting events are always in the works at Cades Cove Cellars. If you are looking for a great family adventure or two while vacationing on the Peaceful Side of the Smokies, look no further than the Next to Heaven Ranch. You can find this spectacular ranch between Pigeon Forge and Townsend on Wears Valley Rd. They have a nice big sign out front; you can’t miss it. Here you will find fun activities for everyone in the family from the youngest to the oldest! The horseback ride to the top of the mountain is relaxing and should leave you ready for something a little more adventurous. The Next to Heaven Ranch has not one, not two, but no less than nine ziplines for you to check out. Their trained staff will kit you out with all required safety gear, explain how it all works and send you on your way. This is one of the top-rated activities in the Pigeon Forge and Townsend area and somewhere you should plan to visit while you are here.
