The Lanier General Store is a unique and fun shop that has grown over the years, located on Wears Valley Road. Owned by locals who are active in the area, serving as Firefighters and Rescue also, we admire this shop and can certainly recommend it as a favorite stop along Wears Valley Road. As a matter of fact, the shop’s popularity has grown and I would encourage all Smoky Mountain Visitors to make a point to visit their store.

Lanier General Store is unique in it’s inventory. Many of the items that fill the store are indeed hand made by locals and those who are near in the Appalachian culture we experience and share. You’ll find Moonshine items galore if you have someone in your life who loves the Moonshine. These items are from the Moonshiner’s themselves and those who also love the culture of this valuable trade in the East Tennessee region for generations.
